About the Role

We are looking for a strong GEO Operations Auditor who will become an independent “pair of eyes” for the company across new and existing GEOs.

You will work without a local team or office, regularly traveling to markets across Africa, South Asia, and other emerging markets.

Your main responsibility will be to verify the actual state of operations on the ground and confirm that the information provided by contractors matches reality.

Responsibilities

  • On-site due diligence of contractors: conducting in-person checks of courier companies, fulfillment partners, manufacturers, and other operational contractors.
  • Physical infrastructure: verifying warehouses, depots, fleets, actual courier headcount, storage conditions, first product deliveries, and compliance of physical locations with regulatory documentation.
  • Inventory checks: conducting unannounced stock counts and reconciling actual inventory with CRM data and contractor reports.
  • Licenses and documentation: verifying certificates, permits, licenses, and other regulatory documents.
  • Payment infrastructure: identifying and verifying local payment partners, including agent networks, exchange offices, cash collection services, and crypto contractors.
  • Payment operations: participating in the first settlement cycles, verifying actual transactions, and ensuring they match contractor reporting.
  • Local agreements: signing specific documents under an authorized power of attorney and only after written approval.
  • New GEO launches: managing the full operational launch cycle — from contractor due diligence to warehouse acceptance, test orders, and the first settlement cycles.
  • Run control: conducting regular checks of existing markets, repeat inventory counts, contractor verification, and discrepancy detection.
  • Reporting: preparing a detailed written report in GEO Hub after each rotation, covering verified facts, discrepancies, and conclusions.
  • Playbook: creating and continuously updating checklists and the Field Audit Playbook so that another auditor can perform the same verification without additional verbal guidance.

Who are we looking for?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier verification, field operations, logistics, inspection, procurement, or import operations.
  • Real hands-on experience working in emerging markets, not just short-term business trips.
  • Practical experience conducting on-site inspections of contractors, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or other operational infrastructure.
  • Experience conducting physical inventory checks and reconciling actual data with documentation and reporting.
  • At least one specific case where you personally rejected or blocked a contractor or operational stage due to an identified risk.
  • English B2+ — working language with international contractors.
  • Willingness to spend up to 210 days per year traveling.
  • Ability to work independently without a local team or office.
  • High level of personal responsibility, attention to detail, and strong documentation discipline.
  • Willingness to put your name behind conclusions based only on what you have personally verified.

Nice to have

  • French — for working with Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Benin, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
  • Spanish — for working with Latin American markets.
  • Experience in supplements, FMCG, food, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience in COD logistics.
  • Understanding of local payment and telecommunications systems.
  • Experience working for international inspection companies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek.
  • Experience in procurement or logistics across emerging markets.

What we expect during the first 3–12 months

3 months: complete the first full market rotation; deliver a handover artifact accepted by the HQ Operations Manager; create checklists for at least three types of contractors.

6 months: one GEO fully passes all operational gates; the first settlement cycles are completed with no unexplained discrepancies; a complete payment partner dossier is prepared and handed over to Financial.

12 months: independently manage two markets through rotation cycles; no contractor with physical infrastructure is approved without an on-site verification; the Field Audit Playbook is regularly updated and actively used by other team members.

What we offer

  • Fully remote work between business trips.
  • International work experience and the opportunity to regularly travel across Africa, South Asia, and other emerging markets.
  • 4 rotations per year, each approximately 7–7.5 weeks long.
  • Up to 210 days per year traveling, with breaks between rotations.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave.
  • Additional days off and public holidays.
  • An additional day off on your birthday.
  • English language courses and coverage of external training expenses.
  • Minimum bureaucracy — we evaluate results, quality of verification, and the reasoning behind your conclusions.
  • A high level of autonomy: you independently decide which facts require additional verification.
  • Real impact on the launch and development of international GEOs — your conclusions directly influence whether a market passes the next operational gate.
  • Team activities — team buildings, corporate events, and workshops.

If you are used to not simply analyzing documents, but going on-site, verifying everything with your own eyes, and putting your name behind your conclusions — we would be happy to meet you.

If you recognize yourself in the Must-have requirements — apply, we would love to get to know you!
